Hi,
I've been offered a job by a company as communication manager.
I asked if it was possible to work part-time, and they said it was possible but then that they'd hire me as a private contractor, so I would have to create a "enkeltmandsvirksomhed" to get a CVR number.
Is there any reason why it would be easier for a company to do that? I worked in Denmark both as full-time and part-time employee, so I'm a bit confused about why they couldn't hire me as part-time employee here. I'd like to have more information before I ask them directly; basically, is it a bit shady (I assume they don't have to pay holiday or sick days), or does that make sense somehow?
Thanks in advance!

Are you member of a fagforening/union? If you are, you should contact them. (If you aren't, you should become one).
My guess is that is has something to do with the right and benefits that they have to provide to you if you are an employee. And maybe they don't want to provide that to you if you only work there half as much as the other employees.
It is really just a guess. The first thing that came to mind.

That would make sense. Thank you.
I'm in the process of choosing a union. I've been recommended Djøf; do you know if it's the best option? Then I can ask them questions about salary negotiations directly once I become a member.

It depends on your job. I haven't directly heard anything bad about them.
