They get convinced by someone on the internet that the government is all a scam and pay large sums of money to some guru to learn their methods, who then vanish into the ether as their new student loses their home or car.

This is the treatise on sovereign citizens, doesn't mention anything about white supremacy and I've never heard of that connection. Can you elaborate?

The idea was born out of the Christian Identity movement in the 1970s as part of the Posse Comitatus, a far right anti government movement who claimed that debt and taxes were an example of Jewish control over the state.
