A bonus, I'm pretty sure (in the dub) the american voice actor for Spike (Cowboy Bebop) voices the protagonist.

You'd be right, that's Steve Blum. He's a pretty common sight in the dub scene, and once you hear him, it's kinda hard to not go "Fuck, that's Steve Blum!" in every other anime.
