Odd choice, considering it's a dozen-odd gigabytes of content that must get negligible traffic. Surely they're going to pay more for bandwidth between this announcement and the actual closure than they have in the past decade.

People - it's been backed up. Don't worry.

Instead make sure your favorite webcomic is on your hard drive. That one you haven't checked on in a couple years? Make sure it's still there. That's the only time you can prepare for when it's not.
