Predatory interests on loans are bullshit and should be erased. The credit system was invented in 1989 to insure predatory lenders while screwing average folk out of their money. That should be erased.

But the basic concept of "we work out a deal where I pay in chunks for an amenity only a wealthy person could afford outright" is fine. It's how society keeps itself afloat in a flawed capitalist system.
