I am a person born in one of those "immigrant" countries, but had a chance to do high school and college in western countries like south Korea and US. For me, the biggest issue with dealing people from these places is that the "western values" does not stand a chance against their lack of these values. U cannot deal with them in good faith at all. I met excellent people and made really good friends abroad so my understanding of people were based on that, but when I came back to my country, I got scammed 60k USD recently. Not because I am stupid or anything, but because these people lack absolute 0 moral values. Its like u are in a boxing match, and these people put some blades under their gloves. As a sane person, u cannot stoop to their level and the society is not able to punish these people for their wrongdoings. I wanted to do my masters in denmark this year, but the loss has made that not possible. I am as left as one can get (Bernie supporter), but I also understand why people need to vet out bad people from the society.
