Replacement for r/steamdeck_linux.
As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:
[Flair] My post title
The following is a list of suggested flairs:
[Discussion] - General discussion.
[Help] - A request for help or support.
[News] - News about the deck.
[PSA] - Sharing important information.
[Game] - News / info about a game on the deck.
[Update] - An update to a previous post.
[Meta] - Discussion about this community.
Some more Steam Deck specific flairs:
[Boot Screen] - Custom boot screens/videos.
[Selling] - If you are selling your deck.
These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.
Rules:
- Follow the rules of Sopuli
- Posts must be related to the Steam Deck in an obvious way.
- No piracy, there are other communities for that.
- Discussion of emulators are allowed, but no discussion on how to illegally acquire ROMs.
- This is a place of civil discussion, no trolling.

Yeah, the Stream Controller case has internal compartments for the accessories, and it does feel more contained.
My guess is this was an easier/cheaper case solution that also gave people easy external storage access—you don't have to open the case to get the accessories. I think I prefer internal, so I'll be getting a different case eventually, too.
I use a third party case with an internal compartment, and I think I prefer external. When I am out and about, not using my Deck, and want to pull out my charger to charge my phone or something, I have to pull out the Deck in order to get to that compartment. If the compartment were on the outside of the case, it would be simpler to get to.
With that said, I do not trust the elastic strap on the official case to keep things secure out there. So I keep using my third party case.
