Replacement for r/steamdeck_linux.
As Lemmy doesn't have flairs yet, you can use these prefixes to indicate what type of post you have made, eg:
[Flair] My post title
The following is a list of suggested flairs:
[Discussion] - General discussion.
[Help] - A request for help or support.
[News] - News about the deck.
[PSA] - Sharing important information.
[Game] - News / info about a game on the deck.
[Update] - An update to a previous post.
[Meta] - Discussion about this community.
Some more Steam Deck specific flairs:
[Boot Screen] - Custom boot screens/videos.
[Selling] - If you are selling your deck.
These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.
Rules:
- Follow the rules of Sopuli
- Posts must be related to the Steam Deck in an obvious way.
- No piracy, there are other communities for that.
- Discussion of emulators are allowed, but no discussion on how to illegally acquire ROMs.
- This is a place of civil discussion, no trolling.

I'd say you have the essentials already after getting your 2TB drive. With that kind of storage you won't have to think about buying an SD card for a while (if ever). You might want to think about getting a case though. Preferably one with a kickstand. Mine also helped with the steam decks plastic shell being misaligned a bit leading to hard edges pressing into my palms. Other than that I'd say most of the (more) essential stuff is software related. Like getting decky loader and exploring its plugins.
