It was just an announcement. It is quite normal for huge AAA games to take more than 5 years to develop. Bethesda was and probably is not in full time production for TES 6. But sure time flies very fast and feel old now...

The game was still in preproduction when they released that trailer and was still in preproduction 2 years after that trailer. I guess they just released the trailer to get people to stop asking them if they were making es6 or not.
