I'd like to gift you all with this quote from Sir Pterry Pratchett, set in his fictional disc world, which has absolutely no parallels to our world:

"Wienrich and Boettcher were, naturally, foreigners, and according to Ankh-Morpork's Guild of Confectioners, they did not understand the peculiarities of the city's taste buds.
