Your title is wildly out of context, and actively misleading.

"The people of Gaza only decided to break the siege, the walls of the concentration camp, on Oct. 7,” he said. “And yes, I was happy to see people breaking the siege and throwing down the shackles of their own land and walk free into their land that they were not allowed to walk in.

“And yes,” he continued, “the people of Gaza have the right to self-defense, have the right to defend themselves, and yes, Israel as an occupying power does not have that right to self-defense.”

"The average Palestinians who briefly walked out of Gaza and set foot on their ethnically cleansed land in a symbolic act of defiance against the blockade and stopped there without engaging in violence were within their rights under international law,” Mr. Awad said in the statement. “The extremists who went on to attack civilians in southern Israel were not. Targeting civilians is unacceptable, no matter whether they are Israeli or Palestinian or any other nationality.”

Walls of a concentration camps? The people running that "concentration camp" was Hamas, who have 75% approval rate from the people of Gaza. The oppression of the Gaza people was not Israel, it was Hamas. Israel is not perfect, but they are not the ones who genocided almost every one who wasn't sunni muslim, nor are they ones who massacre lgbtq people, nor are they the ones who steal aid and sell it to the Gaza people at exorbitant prices, nor are they the ones who massacred 1400 people on Oct 7th, breaking a cease fire, and in the process said that they would not abide by any cease fires.

"their ethnically cleansed land" is part of your quote. That land is Gaza. Hamas wants to ethnically cleanse Israel. Hell, it's in their Charter. I can go find a link of a translated version if you want.

Edit: Scratch that, here's a translated version of their charter: https://www.memri.org/reports/hamas-charter-%E2%80%93-ideology-behind-massacre

And here's one on the Gaza people supporting Hamas. https://rairfoundation.com/survey-palestinians-overwhelmingly-support-hamas-islamic-jihad/

Walls of a concentration camps? The people running that “concentration camp” was Hamas,

https://www.hrw.org/news/2022/06/14/gaza-israels-open-air-prison-15

https://www.hrw.org/report/2021/04/27/threshold-crossed/israeli-authorities-and-crimes-apartheid-and-persecution

who have 75% approval rate from the people of Gaza.

So that makes it ethical to kill civilians?

The oppression of the Gaza people was not Israel, it was Hamas

https://www.hrw.org/news/2023/11/16/israeli-authorities-cutting-water-leading-public-health-crisis-gaza

but they are not the ones who genocided almost every one who wasn’t sunni muslim

Hamas wants to ethnically cleanse Israel. Hell, it’s in their Charter

Two genocides makes a right?

nor are they the ones who massacred 1400 people on Oct 7th

Can you tell me the death toll that has resulted from Israeli bombs?
