Rail, Tram and Bus Union (RTBU) members employed by V/Line will take protected industrial action in the form of a work stoppage between 3am – 7am, disrupting all V/Line train services across the state.

No V/Line trains will run during the stoppage. Significant delays are expected for the entire morning.

Metro trains, trams and buses will run as normal.

V/Line trains will progressively return from 8am but delays and cancellations will continue across the day.

We encourage passengers to delay travel or consider other transport where possible.

Passengers who need to travel should expect significant delays to plan their day accordingly.

Regular information and updates will be published here at ptv.vic.gov.au, on the V/Line website, mobile app and social media so please check for updates before you travel. You can also use our Journey planner to find possible alternative travel options.
