Hey guys! I'm building an Intel-based PC for the first time. I'm struggling to choose a motherboard. Do I really need to go with a $150-200 motherboard? Can I get away with this one with out affecting performance? I'm not doing anything crazy. The CPU was a gift, so I'm building around it. I have built PCs in the past, but with Ryzen. I kinda feel the motherboard options are better with Ryzen. Thanks in advance!

You can find used or open-box MSI Z690-A PROs for $100-$150. I run the DDR5 Wifi variant with a 13700K and it’s been great.

Yes this board is a much better option than what OP mentioned, but do note this board requires DDR5 and those are still pricey when compared to DDR4, apart from that hope you'll enjoy your new build ☺️👍🏻🤞🏻
