Is WB SN850x Compatible

Hey all. I have long forgotten all my Pc build knowledge. So I turn to the experts on Reddit. Lol

Will a WD Black SN850X SSD (M.2 PCIe Gen 4) work on my motherboard.

I have a ASRock Z490 Taichung motherboard.

https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z490%20Taichi/index.asp

I admittedly wanted to upgrade one of my SSD drives as I am running out of space with my two 1TB SSDs I currently have. And I grabbed a last minute flash sale on the SN850X and didn’t have time to research it. So curious if I bought too much card for my motherboard. Pretty sure I remember the PCI slots being backwards compatible but won’t runs at the posted speeds.

Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

1 x Hyper M.2 Socket (M2_4), supports M Key type 2280 M.2 PCI Express module up to Gen4x4 (64 Gb/s) (Socket M2_4 works with 11th Gen Intel® Core™ processors only)**

Slot M2_4 supports 4x4 NVMe with 11th Gen CPU.

Otherwise you will be limited to Gen3 speeds, which means you should just buy a cheaper SSD.
