Tell me when the hell an RX 580 will ever need to use anywhere close to 16gb? It’s a freaking 580.. you’re not going to fill the vram at 1080p. I can’t wait to hear the brain rot arguments parroted by HUB and LTT.

It's for AI acceleration. In AI training (and with LLMs, inference), the VRAM is basically hard limit of the complexity of the AI model you can run on the GPU. 20GB is enough to train some small LLMs, 10GB is not.

Brother, nobody is running AI acceleration on a 580.
