One of the things with USB 3+ is that it handles power delivery more 'smart'.
Most USB 2 chargers would just give 5v/1a no mater what. With the newer higher powered chargers and cables the devices will handshake and decided how much power to provide. So the laptop and charger will confer about what they are able to handle/provide and decide on a voltage and amperage. If either device is USB 2 and isn't able to communicate then it fails back to the standard 5v/1a.
So whatever charger you buy or whatever you are charging the charger and device will figure out the max they can handle and just charge with that.
The only thing to watch out for is cheap low quality cables or chargers that might be manufactured to claim higher capabilities than they actually should and then get too hot when actually used.
