A place to politely discuss the tools, technique and culture of photography.

This is not a good place to simply share cool photos/videos or promote your own work and projects, but rather a place to discuss photography as an art and post things that would be of interest to other photographers.

I am trying to get into printing some of my images from a Sony A7iii. When I make my edits in Lightroom and export a number of things happen: my ARW (raw) file is as big as 49MB, if I save a TIFF it could be as large as 200+MB, but when I export to JPEG it is saving as a 10MB file. Is there a way to increase this to allow for a larger print; say 20 x 35ish inches? TIA!

The JPEG format is a lossy compressed file format. It can be saved at different levels of quality / compression.

PSD and TIFF are lossless, uncompressed formats.
