Home automation is the residential extension of building automation.

It is automation of the home, housework or household activity.

Home automation may include centralized control of lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), appliances, security locks of gates and doors and other systems, to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security.

Giving neighbor access to smart switch? (alien.top)

My porch light sometimes gets left on and annoys my very nice neighbor. It’s on a schedule but sometimes someone turns it on after the scheduled off time and forgets to turn it off. Is there a way to give her access to that switch only? I am using Kasa wifi switches and Alexa in the rest of the house. Thanks.

While there are a lot of good suggestions tangential to your request, I think Kasa lights are tied to a cloud account. So, I think you could setup a cloud account for just that light. Put the app on her phone under that account. Tie just that one switch to that account. On your phone you would need to switch accounts to manage that device. I don't know if you can tie multiple Kasa accounts to an Alexa, so you might lose that integration. Should take about 15 minutes of poking around to get it all to work, or prove it is a bad idea.
