Give competitors' recommendations only where appropriate. If a user asks for Intel only (i.e. i5-12600k vs i5-13400?) recommendations, do not reply with non-Intel recommendations. Commenting on a build pic saying they should have gone AMD/Nvidia is also inappropriate, don't be rude. Let people enjoy things.

CPU Cooling problems: Just like 95C is normal for Ryzen, 100C is normal for Intel CPUs in many workloads. If you're worried about CPU temperatures, please look at reviews for the laptop or CPU cooler you're using.

Why not just drop a cpu into your existing board?
It's not that powerful. The best CPU I can put there is locked i5. I have been considering that but I don't think it's a good upgrade. Maybe You can change my mind
A 13400 or 13500 would be a large upgrade to that i3 of yours, and you could stay with your present Motherboard and Ram, you would more than likely need to Flash to a newer Bios though.
What Video Card do you have though?
If your CPU isn't the Bottleneck upgrading the Cpu wont help much.
Currently rx 6600 but I am planning to change it in forseable future. Probably by the end of summer 2024
Speaking of upgrading gpu I can't decide between these two options: i5-13600k and ddr5 mobo + rtx 4060 ti or i5-12600kf with ddr4 mobo + rtx 4070. I think prices are pretty similar
Your 12100f & 6600 Complement each other, upgrading one of them will just cause the other to be a Bottleneck. I'd save the money for a complete overhaul.
A 13400, 13500 would allow you to keep your MB & Ram, that 12600k would work on your MB as well, you just wouldn't be able to OC that K. The 13600k might be a bit much for your B660 due to Heat Issues.
pc-builds.com lists that 12600k as a Bottleneck for a 4070 at 1080p, I'm not sure If I believe that or not, I'm guessing that pair would be fine for Gaming, possibly not professional type work.
Comparing a 4070 to that 4060Ti, you'll more than likely kick yourself after buying that 4060Ti, the 4070 is a good bit better, albeit more expensive as well.

How about something like this. On Amazon the 13400f is $200, the 4060 8GB is $300, that is a decently priced Prebuilt.
Nah, 4060 is not a very good uograde. Moreover I am planning to move from 1080p to 1440p so this card is instant no. But thank you for sending this
How about this, ran across it a few minutes ago so started a post with it in r/buildapcsales

Your present MB may already have the needed Bios for that, double check on the Gigabyte website
Which b660 board is it specifically?
Gigabyte ds3h
