Home automation is the residential extension of building automation.

It is automation of the home, housework or household activity.

Home automation may include centralized control of lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), appliances, security locks of gates and doors and other systems, to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security.

Warning: Working with electricity can result in injury, property damage, or even death if it is not done properly. Please keep this in mind while assisting others. If you are not sure about what you are doing, hire a licensed professional.

I have 3 devices that I need more information / control over.

  1. 900w 120v Cistern Pump (DAB Dtron3) - Plugged into a standard 120v outlet (NEMA 5-15)
  2. 3/4HP 230v Well Pump (Myers 2NFL72-5) - Wired straight into a breaker
  3. Waterite Vectamaxx RSL 2400 (6.4A 230V) - Plugged into a 230v outlet (NEMA 6-15P)

I would like to know more about power usage for each, but specifically with the pumps, also have the ability to shut them off in case of water issues (leaks, etc...)

What products exist on the market that might be able to help with this?

Does anybody make anything reasonably plug & play?

Are there any high voltage contactors that are controlled by a 120v circuit that I could use with a more traditional unit like a Kasa Outlet (what I am currently using for most of my switchable outlets) or the like?
