There was an hour when I wasn’t on Lemmy and I missed the whole beans thing. I logged in afterwards and it was all anyone could talk about, but I had missed the whole thing.
That’s fine. Individuals can have an autistic hyper fixation all they want. It has a fair bit of crossover with ADHD but is still it own separate thing.

Yes I was there, however I find the beans thing more silly, whilst they poop thing a bit distasteful, however quirky it was.
The good thing is that the entire user base gets to experience these, which was much the same in early Reddit. Present day reddit had few emergent, site wide memes anymore as it's too splintered and too farmy imho.
