Hi guys,

So I'm considering to build a new pc with an i5 1600k and a 4070. I was looking at motherboards, when I found one from ROG which was a maximus Z690 hero that was $350 off, going from $600 to $250. However, it only has a Z690 chipset and I found various Z790 boards around the same price. Should I make use of the great deal for the first one or should I disregard that one and get a motherboard with a newer chipset but less features?

The most important factor in choosing the motherboard is how good the vrms are and how well are they cooled. So look for large quantity high quality vrms with large heatsinks from MSI.
