Is this suitable for a first home server to run a media server, nas and a few containers? (alien.top)

Just wanting to know if this would be able to run a small nas mainly for holding films, tv shows and music and then using use for a plex/jellyfin. As well as a few other docker containers. Would the best os for this use case be unraid and their apps feature or would proxmox be best and then run everything virtualised or something else?

(I would upgrade the amount of RAM)

If you're going to use VMs or containers when you definitely want more RAM. The CPU looks fine though for that use. If you're using it as a media server you'll get through 500GB in no time at all, so make sure you've got space for more drives.

I've had success using FreeNAS (now TrueNAS) for this sort of thing in the past. That's got the Jails feature for virtualising apps. I haven't used Unraid or proxmox so can't compare it to those.
