Home automation is the residential extension of building automation.

It is automation of the home, housework or household activity.

Home automation may include centralized control of lighting, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), appliances, security locks of gates and doors and other systems, to provide improved convenience, comfort, energy efficiency and security.

I live in Italy, we use type C, F, and L plugs. They can all be flipped around so this means that if a socket is only switching one pole, while it's true that connected appliances would be off, the live pole might still be connected. I have very specific requirements where I cannot allow that situation to happen, so I'm looking for a smart socket that will disconnect both neutral and live, and I'm pretty sure that most of them do not do this.

Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks!

If your switch is connected to the socket and disconnects the 'hot' side from the socket, it doesn't matter if they turn the plug around, there is still no 'hot' at the socket.

Yes that is true, but I am pretty sure if the socket got pulled out in some way it would end up in the wrong position. That and the switch for toggling it might be in an inconvenient position.
