Data Hoarder

We are digital librarians. Among us are represented the various reasons to keep data -- legal requirements, competitive requirements, uncertainty of permanence of cloud services, distaste for transmitting your data externally (e.g. government or corporate espionage), cultural and familial archivists, internet collapse preppers, and people who do it themselves so they're sure it's done right. Everyone has their reasons for curating the data they have decided to keep (either forever or For A Damn Long Time (tm) ). Along the way we have sought out like-minded individuals to exchange strategies, war stories, and cautionary tales of failures.

Hey all! Im a noob in all of this and need some advice to understand better. I always had backblaze computer backup product and it worked fine plus was super easy but wanted a cheaper solution. So recently I signed up for B2 Backblaze and installed Mountain duck on my machine and started backing up.

Now my mac created the cloud storage 'bucket' folder on the sidebar and I have been syncing and copying files from my local hard drive to the cloud storage manually. Should I directly work and save files inside the bucket folder folder and work from it? What happens if I dont have an internet connection? Im a bit confused here. thanks
