I recently finished the Forgotten City and I'm currently in the midst of Ai: the Somnium Files. I really love this style of game: winding plotlines, clues to be found, interesting characters and motivations. Paradise killer, Curse of the Golden idol and Return of the Obra Dinn are games that blew my mind.

Any favorites you have in these genres? I'm happy to pay for them, if they're on PS Plus that's even better!

I just finished The Forgotten City, too! It ended way sooner than I thought it would, so definitely gonna have to do a second run soon. I'm also interested in hearing other recommendations!

Here is what I have that might be kinda close (but also maybe not...)

  • Beholder 1 and 2
  • The Council
  • The Spectrum Retreat (OK this one doesn't really fit, but I love the crap out of it and never see it recommended anywhere)

Thanks for the reply! I haven't heard of any of these so I will definitely check them out!

Finished spectrum retreat today. Not in the same vein at all but it was a really cool puzzle game which I also like! The mechanics were interesting and didn't get stale despite my frustration of having to do the final puzzle several times due to minor errors.
