Yeah, that won’t work. Even cans now isn’t worth the effort. We kept about 6 months worth, had the yard looking like hell, and were told not to bother conning back without triple the amount.

It will be worthwhile for personal quantities if you have a reverse vending machine or return point somewhere you regularly go, but it would not be worth the logistics of collecting and transporting large amounts of other people's discards. And without the label showing the 10c deposit was paid (which won't be there until the scheme is actually introduced) you can't get it refunded, so the old bottles are worth nothing.

Damn, where did you go??? We took up a couple those cardboard green waste bags of tinnies to our local scrap metal and made $200
