CPU Cooling problems: Just like 95C is normal for Ryzen, 100C is normal for Intel CPUs in many workloads. If you're worried about CPU temperatures, please look at reviews for the laptop or CPU cooler you're using.

I'd like to re-purpose my old i7-4790 (install ROON ROCK) but do not want to dish out $$$ on a motherboard.

I do have a ASUS ROG LGA1155 mobo and all memory required. I do not need speed, nor do I plan to overclock it.

Will it run?

Should sell the MB and buy the correct one or the other way arround sell the cpu and buy a 3770
