Next time you copy over 1TB you might start off with "Wow" before hitting the "Yawn".
Caching is good until you fill the cache and then everything drops back to normal.
But with smaller files you probably will notice a difference
This is likely going to be one of those FOMO purchases. I'm genuinely curious to grab one of these 4 gigabyte refurbs that only work connected to a raid expander but they're selling super cheap because of that fact. It would be preferable to know if any actual improvement could be expected. I had 512 GB of Cachecade on here at one time but games would open ridiculously slow, doesn't seem to do well for desktop usage. Throwing games on an SSD is much faster of course but I'm trying to squeeze some oomph out of these 4 drives.
