Hello labbers! I recently purchased a WS-C3850-12X48U-S switch and performed a factory reset from the cli... not knowing it would remove the firmware. From what I read on the cli, it said it would reset all settings...

Now it's missing the config file and it wont boot beyond the screen saying flash:packages.conf is missing. I verfied by dir flash:/ and no .conf files are visible.

Does anyone know where I can find the file to emergency flash this swithc or am I screwed? I cant find anything on Cisco's website.

Thanks for any help

just did about the same thing as you. Download the latest IOS from Cisco (you need an account, but not a service contract), copy to a MSDOS formatted flash drive and read how to emergency flash from USB flash drive.
