Experts say US immigration law already bars members of a Communist Party from becoming citizens or green card holders, but they say Trump might run into legal trouble if he tried to implement a blanket exclusion of all communists or Marxists.

He literally could not define Communist nor Marxist. Not even casually. Even to his own base, he would probably just talk about wokeness or Nazis or some other nonsequitur. And he DEFINITELY could not formulate a legal definition for a piece of legislation even IF he had the kind of Putinic power he lusts for.

The Right doesn't know the first thing about anything in socialist philosophy. Everything is just a meaningless pejorative, no different than calling them "motherfuckers".

I agree with you, but I also believe these words are more than meaningless. While they don't adhere to any definition a rational person would recognize, the right has collectively twisted the language to misrepresent their agenda. Communist could mean a number of things to them. Leftist, liberal, Chinese, whatever. They redefine words. It's gaslighting.
