Ok so im getting z690 aorus elite or b660 aorus master paired with 13600kf because im sticking with ddr4. I tought z790 is gonna support ddr4 and ddr5 but didnt know theyre physically different.

Anyways, what bios version should i update to? New drivers that are coming out are probably for 14th gen support. Are those newest drivers are also gonna support 13th gen or do i need to go with older versions? It doesnt says specifically the updates are for 14th, it says for future generations or something.

Here are the links of both motherboards if someone has time to check.

Thanks in advance!!

Edit: Also for example 1st update for 13th gen support also says that VMD should be updated? Im not rly fammiliar with that. I have one m.2 for windows, one regular ssd and one regular HDD. Do i need to update VMD or should i disable it before installing windows, than enabling it and updating it? For newer drivers it doesnt say anything about VMD update so does that mean if i go with newer drivers i dont have to do that?

Z790 Aorus Elite AX DDR4

Its inferior to the

Z690 Aorus Elite AX DDR4 though

Its cost optimized compared to the Z690 the only gain

the the 2 4x Pcie slots at Pcie 4.0 instead of Pcie 3.0
