I can't be the only one that internally rolls my eyes when people refer to their significant other as a fiance/fiancee, right?
Unless you have a date set and it's soon, don't try to church up your situation.
I think fiance, wife, and husband all sound bad. I call my partner my partner, because she's my life partner. Really it's a better description in my opinion. Being a wife or husband means absolutely nothing, especially given most end rather quickly
Hah, meanwhile I think partner sounds bad, because it will never stop making me think of a law firm.
