Need to pick someone up using football (alien.top)

You see, the only way I see of getting closer to them is talking about football. But I had stopped following years ago and have forgotten everything. I need something of a cheat sheet of everything about current football since they are the type to get excited and ask many questions. The other day I got completely embarrassed when they asked me who my favourite midfielder was. I of course know all the rules its just the players and teams and clubs and stuff that I need.

Now idk if or whether such a thing is possible, there is so much to be in it, but Reddit has always been helpful whenever I have reached such dead ends.

Man is it really a deal breaker if you don't watch the sport? If they care about it that much it's a bit strange. It's about whether they like you or not. But, I'd say pick a club and research them, like the other guy said. But pick one you genuinely like and are ready to follow for a VERY long time. Maybe your local club. Tell them Declan Rice was not worth 100 million btw.
