So I only listened to english audiobooks and now I'm interested in getting physical copy of the books. Do you have experience with Witcher books in other languages and how does the translation fare?

I'd expect them to be translated from the original. Actually, I'm pretty sure Croatian translation would've been done sooner than English. Books were a classic in Slavic countries way before games which prompted English translations
