Why isn't it so popular compared to mastodon? I just found out about it and it looks pretty mature imo, it's only popular with japanese people.

I think it's all the anime lmao, Calkey is basically rebranded misskey but I see english speakers go that way much more recently idk

Misskey is dope, but mastodon is simpler imo

mastodon is definitely simpler and more compatible. still, misskey is well-developed and more feature packed. it doesn't get the love it deserves imo.
