The wrist bands that come with the PineTime are the first wrist bands on a smart watch or fitness tracker that did not irritate my skin (even after wearing it 24/7 for weeks to months at a time only taking it off to shower and charge) in a very long time. The original band lasted much longer than I expected it to, but it eventually broke. Finding replacement bands that are compatible with the PineTime is pretty easy, but I haven't found a replacement that also doesn't irritate my skin. Given the price of a new PineTime, I should stop searching for new bands, which usually aren't much cheaper than a new PineTime, and just purchase another PineTime.

One thing that I did not expect is the positive comments and questions about the PineTime from people when I wear it out. I think most people assume its an Apple Watch due to its shape.

There are definitely many shortcomings to the PineTime, particularly the PineTime's lack of features and functionality compared to other modern smart watches. If you're aware of that and appreciate its benefits like open source, long battery life, and low price, then you'll love the device.
