I haven't read Wool although I do plan on it. Based on the many conversations I read about it I was under the impression that while it made it halfway through the first book they both ended in a similar way. Which would mean there is plot points from the second half of the book left to do despite jumping to the conclusion. I could be wrong on that though.

Well let me know what you think when you've read it. But as far as I remember, the first season of the show ends with Juliette leaving the silo. This happens around half-way through the first book. There's a lot of stuff that happens after that point in the book that isn't at all covered in the show.

I was worried the show took a wild deviation from the source material. Sounds like they are basically on track though. That makes me more hopeful about season 2.

Yeah there's definitely some deviations from the source material, but honestly I don't have any complaints with them. A lot of stuff that is a mystery in the show is revealed pretty early on in the book (the truth about outside, IT being the true power, etc). Also Sims doesn't exist in the book. But overall, it's pretty similar.

I too am looking forward to season 2, some of my favorite parts from the first book should come up next season.
