It's being used as propaganda to justify brutal treatment of civilians in Gaza, so it matters, even if the end result is the same.
... including the babies in Gaza.
I think they'd still use the killing of babies as justification and/or propaganda depending on your pov, so I'm not sure of that.
There are conflicting reports, but none deny the dead children. That doesn't justify killing children in Gaza either.
