Hey! I won't take any slander for the Logitech F710 Wireless Controller!!!
(I have the F310, which is the cheaper and worse version that doesn't have wireless. The dpad is mushy, the sticks aren't great, and the shoulder buttons are on a weird overhang. I have no Idea why anyone would intentionally use this controller when there's better options. The F310 is only like $20, so I get it if someone just wants a really cheap controller, but the F710 is $50! That's only $10 cheaper than an actual XBox controller!)
the f710 is known for horrific conectivity issues with its wireless so the whole thing was set up to fail, if they read 5 reviews before buying they would have invested better, still a horrible accident
I also have the F310, and have had the same experiences as you. In addition to everything you said, the triggers are stiff and uncomfortable too. The only good things about it are that it's durable and that you can swap the d-pad and left thumbstick with a button press, and there's a d-input mode too.
The similarly priced 8bitdo Ultimate Controller (and probably the Pro2) is MUCH better and also has good customization software and a programmable autofire button. At least the non Xbox branded one does. Based on my experiences with the F310 I never wanted to risk buying the more expensive F710. Because the F310 with rumble + wireless capability doesn't sound like a good deal to me.
I'd rather spend less on somebody I know actually makes good (or "good enough") stuff, like PowerA or 8bitdo.
You guys seem to be pretty experienced with controllers, maybe you could help me out. Me and partners are planning to build up a company which offers traveling to the moon for rich people. We've already designed the spaceship and also found a way to build it very cheap, by recycling old NASA parts, we can get nearly for free. But we're struggling with the controller. So maybe you guys could give me a recommendation for one, preferably a cheap model.
