I can't even imagine what earning double a living wage would have done to my psyche in my twenties. I'm middle aged and just now finding stability - and let me tell you, it wasn't because I kept working hard. If I'd just kept working hard, I'd still be poor.
Thatโs the problem with the value of hard work - itโs hardly ever decided by the one working. People who are struggling or have struggled know that first hand. The value of hard work is the value of being held hostage.
At 25 he was making double the median FAMILY income at the time!
