I had a problem purchase this week -- an item was off/rancid. Highly unusual for them, but I brought it to their attention, and they simply suggested my fridge might just be too warm or too full.
It could be true, there's no way to know (though never been an issue before and wasn't for the other items I picked up this week). But I also feel like I'm not too much of a Karen for thinking it would be nice if they offered to make it right somehow?
I've been shopping with them for months and have introduced at least one new regular customer. I generally pick up at Local's Club and usually struggle with a rude/overworked vibe in store too but I guess that's beside the point.
Was just wondering if this is a theme for them. Or am I just a Karen?
Oh wow, that can't have been a pleasant discovery. I wouldn't be impressed with that response. Not to mention that surely other things in your fridge would also be going off if that was the case? I think it's entirely fair to expect a replacement or refund. No way you're being unreasonable.
Thanks for the perspective. Yeah, bit disappointed overall.
