That's all nice and undestanable, but I've got up to /contribute page.

If you want random people to contribute to your project, stop waving your CoC into their faces.

On the contribute page this is the only thing they say:

Before contributing, please read over our Community Standards and Contributing Guide.

What about that is waving in your face?

Love the dog whistle though as if there’s something even contentious in their CoC. It’s literally don’t be a piece of shit. Please show what’s so outrageous about it.

You'll get downvoted for that but I'd do exactly the same. I have no intention of offending or insulting anybody. Irrespective of their gender, race or sexuality.

I contribute code and that's it. My genitalia is irrelevant and its the same for anybody else. I wouldn't even know who anybody else was unless they made a point of telling me.

So if telling me to do what any decent human does is first thing I encounter its a warning that the project is a hive of drama. There are plenty of other projects that can use my development time.
