I've started my uni subject, which is currently all about plant identification. There are so many new terms. It's making my head fuzzy.
Right on. Trees? Or plants in general?
Plants in general. The subject is science of gardening, and this bit is all about the classification of plants and how to identify them. There are about 14 billion different terms for just the shape of leaves!
I hear you. I've been an arborist for almost 25 years, and I still struggle. I actually had the chance to learn Latin back in primary school in England, but gave it away as I thought it wouldn't be useful...
I'm glad I don't have to try and memorise any of it, just get my head around enough that I can understand the descriptions in the identification guides.
