The UK undermined the EU project from the first day they were in, lobbying to get a continental Commonwealth akin to their past empire. They asked exemption after exception, whining and cicking for decades. Then, they dragged the whole block in the never ending shitshow of Brexit, fighting tooth and nail to get exactly what they were told they wouldn't have, breaking promise after promise, including international treaties.

At some point they took their loss and the EU too. Recent crises brought reforms that were unimaginable witht the UK in: common borrowing policy, common digital protection, common climate goals.

Now some of the most polluting EU companies are lobbying to renegotiate treaties that were written to protect the rights of the citizen. They can go to hell.

If you want to colonise yourselves, go for it.

No one signed up for political union. We joined the single market, not the EU. The right is on the rise in Europe, what happens when they get voted into power?

A multicelled union is much stronger than a big blob. Far right or left would have to gain a majority in the majority, not so in a federation, see China, Russia and the USA for more details.

We'll be part of Horizon, thanks. None of the global top ten universities are in the EU. You need us just as much as we need EU.

We'll be part of net zero, it's going to be very profitable and equitable to those that invest their time and money.

We'll be part of Macron's political community, associate status for the UK has been a french solution to the Brits since the 60's. Security and defence is a specialism. No European countries were warning about Putin when he was massing troops, it was all a bluff according to the EU security services, unlike the UK's.

The companies you are talking about are the ones to build euro EVs. Would you rather they carried on with ICE?

No one signed up for political union.> You're right. No one signed up for common borrowing either, still we had it after Covid and would never have had it with the UK.

The companies you are talking about are the ones to build euro EVs. Would you rather they carried on with ICE?

They built the most polluting diesel tank-size cars for decade, lying about their emissions, promoting ever bigger and more powerful cars to wealthy people. Now they are selling 2-ton electric SUVs to overpriviledged suburban moms.

You can have theses companies, along with Bentley and Land Rover. Except without renegotiated treaties.

Anyway, what we need is less cars.

True, they've also done awful deals with China for slave Uighur labour, just like they did with Hungarian Jews before. Fuck them.

We do need fewer cars, mine sits there for 95% of the time depreciating. I don't want to own one, I have to.

Flights need to be taxed to fuck, and that money put into high speed rail. The UK is way behind Europe's rail systems, it's been fucked back into private disparate networks by moronic politicians.
