Oh god, I just realized that when you make an image post, every single instance tries to cache the image at once: https://pastebin.com/fN14dRdA
Edit: I moved the image to Imgur instead of hosting it on my phone, but the post edit doesn't seem to federate...
Edit 2: It did federate to lemmy.blahaj.zone. But on lemmy world I can't even see the comment edit. Hmmm.
Edit 3: Situation improved. Edits did federate to lemmy.world now. Seems like other stuff is federating again. There's probably just large delay due to load.

It's going through a Cloudflare Tunnel though, not directly from each Lemmy server.
What is the Cloudflare tunnel doing?
Well, better than thousands of users each downloading it from you themselves. But indeed lemmy could cache it in request and not instantly, if this isn’t already the case.
