I’m taking it upon myself to post these discussion threads now.

That was a hype episode. Though I must admit I am mildly disappointed we didn’t get a tease of Sabine and crew and what they were up to.

Live action siege of Mandalore (no matter how smoky and low budget) was a fucking treat to see. Really fantastic seeing Hayden don the clown wars era attire.

Surely it's not the last we see of Hayden this series, right?

I really want to see a lucid conversation between ghost Anakin and someone else about his fall and time as Vader.

It was his destiny and I get that. But I want to see how he reacts to being asked about it.

I feel like there's not much else to explore between their relationship anymore. She and Vader had their duel in Rebels, and now in WBW, Anakin finished her training. With three episodes left, there's still a whole lot to wrap up with Sabine, Ezra, and Thrawn.

That being said, who knows the backstory of Baylan? Maybe he was a youngling who was in the temple during Order 66, and they have Hayden there for more slaughtering? Maybe Baylan is the kid who said "Master Skywalker, there are too many of them, what are we going to do?" and they'll retcon that scene with Hayden saving that kid? Who knows??

Order 66 is roughly 30ish years ago. Babylon is far to old to have been a youngling then.

My guess is he was on some far off remote world after having taken the Barash Vow after having committed some kind of transgression against the light. So he was off in exile when order 66 came down and would have been hard to locate. Obviously at some point he will have left that exile and continued on as a dark Jedi.

If you’re not familiar with the Barash Vow I would encourage you to read the canon Vader comics that take place right after revenge of the sith!

Yeah I guess that timeline doesn't make sense. I haven't read any of the comics but that sounds interesting.

And just like they CGI'd newAnakin into the RotJ victory celebration force ghosts, they'll CGI Baylen's actor's likeness into the RotS "there's too many" scene. Not de-aged, just him as the youngling.

I didn't think the costume had a big enough nose to be from the Clown Wars.

Live action siege of Mandalore was a pretty heavy handed fan service and I loved every second of it. My mind auto completed their discussion about it:

Anakin: I don't know this battle
Ahsoka: This was the siege of Mandalore, we had parted ways by now
Anakin: Looks intense
Ahsoka: It was fucking epic

It was my favorite because there was no Sabine.
