I didn't bother checking since I just put back the larger drive once I got the new one. I doubt they did, they said to remove any accessories / SD card otherwise I might not get them back, so I doubt they'd do a data transfer.
You just want to make sure to take out the ssd you bought and put back in the original one. Or if you didn't replace it, just back stuff up.
