Hard agree, but it was mercantilism not capitalism. Distinctively different due to reliance in trade circles, colonial holdings and exploitation of overseas resources.
Which is proto capitalism.
Mercantilism is when the rich have sugar, capitalism is when you have too much sugar.
Can confirm, gotta cut back on my sugar intake
