They're the US government, they can do whatever the hell they want because they print the money and pay the done pilots.

Have you ever heard of "inflation"?
Weird how that’s never an issue when Wall Street is getting bailed out, or the military gets a budget increase of 50 billion or so for the 15th year in a row etc.
Also the current inflation is largely due to corporate greed. And the measure that actually will help with it (rhymes with serpentine) is sadly off the table. For now.
